A lot of War Veterans today take CBD oil for pain as well as for PTSD, Depression, and Anxiety.
I have been lucky enough to get one of my dear friends Steve Alexander, a Vietnam Veteran, in an interview, talking about taking CBD oil for pain. It has helped him lower the pain from a horrible injury he got back in Vietnam. Now he is almost without pain after 50 years of Pharma meds that were not working.
Took 50 years to find CBD oil for pain
After 50 years of excruciating pain and a ton of Pharma meds, Steve found out about CBD oil for Pain. And how it can help him deal with his pain.
And this was no ordinary pain. Like if you and I have a headache or a little bit of back pain or some muscle soreness after a workout. Nope.
Steve got blown up by a land mine back in Vietnam. He was 19 at a time. And he’s been in pain ever since. So much in pain that he had to have a “pain pump” inserted surgically in his abdomen. A pain pump that would pump some hardcore painkiller chemicals into Steve’s spine. Crazy right?
So one of his friends said: “Steve, you know I’ve heard about this CBD oil for pain. Maybe it would be something that could help you too”
He decided to give it a try. And it did not work.
Wait, what?
CBD oil for pain did not work
Steve was wondering why not? He was reading a lot of real-life stories about how great CBD worked for other people.
He tried a few different CBD brands and was experimenting with CBD dosage.
Then he found out our website and asked me to give him a call. He asked if I would be kind enough to guide him through this “CBD stuff”. Sort of help him get it right.
So we went to work. From proper cannabinoid ratios to proper CBD dosage. We started at the beginning and worked for more than 2 months until it happened.
After more than 2 months of CBD oil for pain, it finally kicked in
Steve finally felt CBD kick in.
I have to admit – even though I was optimistic all the way trough I don’t think I’d hold on for this long. I’d probably give up. I mean 2 months and not the slightest difference in paint levels. Surely this will not work.
But I’d be wrong.
It was amazing from that point forward. It was literally downhill from there. Steve’s pain levels went down and then down some more. He started feeling better, sleeping better and even eating better.
After about 3 months from the start of Steve’s CBD oil for pain regime – so it was only about a month of CBD actually working – Steve’s pain levels were finally low enough so he could start going for daily walks. And that was one more thing (physical exercise) I wanted him to do to speed up his recovery. Bare in mind Steve is a man in his seventies. So he started with daily walks. First about a mile. It wasn’t long and he could walk 5 to 8 miles every day.
The progress of feeling better and recovery was faster and faster. So much so that his doctor started to lower the “pain pump” pain killer levels. In a few months, he lowered it for 80-90%. This was so dramatic that the doctor thought about removing the abdomen “pain pump” altogether.
After 50 years CBD oil for pain wins over Pharma drugs
Steve’s advice about taking CBD for your pain management:
- Don’t give up
It can take a long time for CBD and all the other cannabinoids to kick in. So don’t give up if you don’t see results right after you’ve taken the first drop of CBD - Make sure you are taking Full Spectrum CBD
Full Spectrum CBD is what you need. It’s what any CBD product should be really. No CBD isolates pr even “Broad Spectrum” CBD products. They can never work as good as the Full Spectrum CBD. (if you wanna learn more about this click here) - Don’t settle for CBD alone
If you want to get healthy, don’t relly on CBD alone. Try other natural things to improve your health. Like regular daily exercise. Daily meditation and breathing exercises. Check out what is Grounding or Earthing and how it can help you. The Internet is full of ways that can naturally improve your health and well being. Make an effort to incorporate as much of that into your daily life as possible. - Calm your mind
I know meditation was mention in my previous point, but it’s super important. So I have if here again.
You should practice calming your mind at least before you sleep. The best thing to do that is to practice “Gratitude”. Before you drift off into deep sleep you simply calmly go through a few of the things you are grateful for. This will create a good and positive “vibe” for your entire sleep - Find a doctor that will support you trying CBD oil for pain
It’s good if your doctor is on board with your CBD “experiment”. Try to find a doctor that will work with you on this. It will make your life much easier. - Be consistent
Once you start your own “CBD experiment” don’t stop until you tweak everything to see results! - Give your body more rest
Throughout our adult life, we don’t get enough rest. This is a big one!! Your body can only recover when it’s resting. So make sure your body gets the sleep and rest it needs.
